River Fringe Festival
Interested in registering a show for Fringe 2026 with The District Council of Loxton Waikerie? For River Fringe 2026 we will be offering $110 registration subsidies for events held in council venues and $55 registration subsidies for events held in community venues within the district. In addition, receive free council venue hire (for council-operated venues) and inclusion in our regional ‘River Fringe’ promotional materials (online and print media!). Subsidies will be applied when completing your registration at the checkout on AVR - Adelaide Fringe.

Terms & Conditions:
Only one subsidy per show is available, for example;
If you are holding up to four sessions of the same visual art & design show ($330) in a council venue, you will only receive a $110 subsidy
However, If a non-council venue is registering multiple different shows, they will receive a $55 subsidy per show
Artists successful in registering under council subsidy are required to list The District Council of Loxton Waikerie as a sponsor on any marketing material (logos provided).
Artists and shows will be included in the ‘River Fringe 2026’ printed program and social media marketing.
Artists will be provided with a ‘River Fringe’ promotional poster template for their event marketing.
Once the total prize pool has been expended ($2,200) the District Council of Loxton Waikerie will be unable to assist in subsidising further registration fees – local shows not registered under subsidy will still have the option to be included in marketing material.
A negotiable majority return of ticket revenue will be awarded to artists performing from council venues.
Artists utilising council owned venues are required to complete a council event application/venue hire form and provide relevant public liability insurance.
Register your event from the 27th August – 30th October to be included in the printed program. Register via AVR Adelaide Fringe.
SALA
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie acknowledge the vital role that artists and creatives have in the community. In support of the arts, $145 SALA registration subsidies are available to artists residing in or with invested interest in The District Council of Loxton Waikerie. Events and exhibitions must also be held within the council area to be applicable for the subsidy. A person may only apply for one individual subsidy, unless they also represent a formalised group of artists.
To apply, register your official event with SALA prior to the closing date and make full payment. Send your receipt of payment and confirmation of registration to sstretton@lwdc.sa.gov.au alongside a New Creditor Form (if not already submitted to council). Please note, applications will be dated in order of receival by council and subsidies awarded until the total prize pool is expended ($2,030).
