“Escapades….. a visual journey” follows the adventure of Geert as an experienced traveller with a passion for hiking and bikepacking, making long solo trips in unspoilt wilderness both internationally and in Australia, including the length of the Murray River. While travelling through stunning landscapes with limited materials, Geert sketches and paints, then later back in his studio converts these sketches into more detailed paintings, using a range of mediums including ink, watercolour, oils and gouache.

This exhibition features a range of not only paintings but visual journals, sketchbooks and finished works inspired by his love of cycling and hiking.

The exhibition will be held at Waikerie Library and Civic Centre throughout November.
