The Barossa cookbook was compiled in 1917 as a war effort fundraiser. Using the companion cookbook ‘Rolling up Their Sleeves‘ which was printed in 2025 as the central inspiration for this exhibition, it delves into the archives weaving together the central place food has in the social history of Waikerie and the surrounding districts.
